    Yeah, it was the same guy that did Titanic, Alien, etc. He said he's been working on the story since his teens. He also has already booked the main character for two more movies. Hopefully the next two don't suck like most trilogies end up.

    I absolutely loved the movie! Poo on those people who said it was boring and that it was racist. Poo I say! We can't wait to see it again. I saw some things near the beginning/middle that looked like Palythoas. So pretty.

    Yeah in the forest scenes there were things like feather dusters and zoas and other stuff. Leave it to the ocean to be the inspiraion for "alien" plants. :)

    I loved the movie. I've seen it twice. I even went by myself to see it the second time. I've never gone to the theaters to see a movie by myself before...that just shows how much I liked the movie.

    Oh yeah! I loved the Tube worms (Looked like X-mas tree worms to me). That was so funny the way he was playing with them and just had to touch everything just to get a reaction from them.
    Did you see it in 3D or regular? We saw it in 3D and honestly I think that's the best way to see it.

    Well I saw it in 2D shortly after it came out and then again in 3D yesterday. I'll have to say 3D was pretty awesome. There was a lot of little details that made 3D awesome. All of the dust and everything really stood out.

    I saw it yesterday in IMAX 3D with my kids. Incredible graphics and world they created.

    The storyline is kind of Dances with Wolves where the Indians win. A friend called it Dances with big blue Aliens...

    Cinematography and Digital World... A++
    Storyline... B

    i just saw this tonight after i finally convinced my wife to sit through it. i thought it was amazing. i don't know if it "changed movies forever" or that other hype, but it might be the first movie i see twice in theaters in a long time.

    oh, and i WILL have a pair of those flying goggles for my motorcycle. even if i have to make them myself

    Never really understood the whole space, fantasy, animated, superhero movies aimed toward adults. This looks like it would sit right there with lord of the rings, all of the marvel super hero based movies etc. James Cameron is a very talented director and the movie looks like it was very well thought out and executed, just not our cup of tea.
