Has anyone seen the new movie Inception yet? I haven't seen it. But after all the hype and all of the great reviews, I may have to force myself to go, if only to add my opinion to the mix (maybe a negative one? muahahahaha)

Don't get me wrong, I'm a movie nut. But based on the previews and a few non-spoiler reviews, the concept of this movie looks just plain stupid to me. It also looks very hard to follow. So with stupid and hard to follow already up on the scoreboard, I obviously haven't been too excited to go out and see it. I even had a chance to go see the midnight showing, but I skipped out on that because of my lack of desire to see this movie.

But then the movie is showing now, and my facebook news feed has shown me a few "INCEPTION IS AWESOME" and "Inception was the best movie I've ever seen, it was perfect" and some others.

AND even IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base) has it rated at 9.3 out of 10 points, which is ridiculous for IMDB. No movie gets rated that highly, and it's out of 5,000+ votes too. Even a review on IMDB used the word "perfect" a few times. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1375666/

So it looks like I'm going to have to force myself to see it sometime this week. But before I do, has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

I really liked it, and I really had no clue going into it to it what it was about. I thought they were doing drugs or something lol. It had a really great plot, best graphics in a while, and the script was good too....def an A+ in my book.

Hrm, DiCaprio is an actor I like a lot. He just hadn't been in a whole lot of movies whose general themes fit with the type of stuff I like. This movie seems to be just that ticket.

Thanks for pointing this out, I will see it.

Well I saw it, and I loved it. It was a great movie. Movie of the year by far, in my book. None of the previews do it justice...at all. The previews are borderline crap compared to the movie. AND alot of people who saw it must have been stupid or something...because alot of the people I talked to seemed to not be able to say or agree on what the movie was about. Which turned me off to it. After seeing it, I can easily tell you what it's about. I don't know what it was so difficult for some.

Anyways, there's only one thing I would have changed about it. I would have made the ending more definitive. The ending of this movie is such a tease, but they did that on purpose

I'm going to say this about the ending, and it won't give away anything in the movie until you see it. If you haven't seen the movie yet, my statement will make you go "huh??" and if you have seen it, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. My statement is: at the end of the movie, I believe that the top was about to fall over. Of course this means something, but if I say what it means, it'll give away part of the movie. I'm trying to be vague here :)

saw it yesterday at 10:50 with my cousin. Was good but Really wierd. I felt like I got it and yet at the same time I didn't get it at all. We missed the first part started watching from when he first starts talking to the Asian guy about the job. Jwin I know exactly what you're talking about :WARNING DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE: I think its suggesting that the whole movie was just his dream. What doesn't make sense is that he was still asleep in the van but yet woke up on the plane and also there was no jump or whatever its called to get him out of the world he created. Also WTF that chick shoots his projection of his wife and his wife stabs him then they freaking talk to each other.

SPOILER ALERT! SERIOUSLY DO NOT READ THIS EVER! (unless you've seen the movie.) Even if you have no plans of watching it, stop reading and go watch it.

He drowned in the van, that is why he washed up on the beach of "limbo" again. Than he was captured and the Asian dude shot him, which caused him to wake up. Since he died in the van he didn't need to be 'kicked' back into the snowy level, or the hotel level, or the van level. His mind went like this:
from the van by way of drowning to limbo. from limbo by way of asians bullet to life. I think thats how it worked anyway.

I could watch this movie 20 more times and probably learn more each time haha. Awesome movie.
