I have a Pure-Flo Float and Auto Shutoff Valve Kit. I followed all instructions to hook it up to my RO unit, and it stops the water from flowing into my RO resevoir, however, it doesn't stop the water from flowing into the RO unit and the waste water continues to flow while the pressure in the RO unit builds.
If anyone has any experience with these units, I'd like to explain my setup and maybe (hopefully) I did something wrong, which can be fixed easily to give me the desired results.

Double check the plumbing connections on the ASOV, its really easy to get lines crossed.
Another is make sure you don't have any trapped air inside the RO unit, air compresses and confuses the ASOV so it does not shut off. When the RO is running, pick it up in your hands and slowly rotate it around in all directions to release any trapped air. This usually helps.
When you lift the float valve up with your finger and wait a minute or two does the ASOV shut off then? Did the kit come with a check valve?

Some units just don't work well with a float and require a bladder or pressure tank to create the proper backpressure to shut them off. Spectrapure sells a mini bladder tank for just this purpose.
