From the Reviews on drs foster and smith one person with 1000 gallon tank said they add a 2lb block once a month and it keeps everything where it needs to be.

Well from the description it says it only dissolves when needed and its impossible to over dose.

I've never heard of anything like this, it sounds interesting and if works the way it is advertised, it should help to keep your parameters in line and stable.

I use it and love it (if you can love an inanimate thing). Keeps calc at 440 now, when I first started with it the tank stayed at 500 calc. After a while (the product helps to balance the water chemistry) then calc went to 440-460 and stays there. You replace when you see the cube(s) almost gone so depending on your tanks use you replace bi-weekly, monthly etc.

Yeah thanks unclejed K+ to you. it seems to make life alot easier using this. It seems like a more natural approach as well because in the ocean most of nutrients come from sediments from rocks I believe.
