    Forgot to mention this...

My girlfriend and I got into a big dispute last night over whether or not the images are "real". She thinks that the majority of it is computer animated. I think she's nuts. I'm sure some of it is digitally enhanced though.

Pretty neat, but Oprah? Doesn't she own everything already? LOL, I guess I just got used to Weaver's great voice...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found Oprah annoying. I don't dislike her in any way however they made a bad decision using her for the narrator IMO. I feel the cinematography was awesome, the choice of many subjects was interesting. I found a factual error regarding the Komodo Dragon. I don't understand spending that much money and then allowing bad information to go out.

Komodo dragons are not venomous with toxins as stated in the show.....they're just dirty and have developed immunity to all sorts of nasty bacteria. This bacteria DOES get transmitted often during a bite, but they don't inject any toxin into an animal. They even point it out themselves (again wrongly) that these toxins took 3 weeks to weaken a water buffalo and then a whole bunch of them can bite it and finally kill it. Predators that use toxins to take down prey don't want to wait 3 weeks for their meal.

I was watching this show with someone. I said to them, "If that makes you an animal that kills with toxins, then I can scratch someone with my fingernails, rub a piece of human feces on the scratch, and then if they die that makes me venomous". Kinda gross, but that's what I said.

Funny....Roger pointed that out as well. Scary ain't it? :D

If I'm not mistaken, they said that kimodos were "poisonous", not "venemous" which to me translates to mean that they can only kill you if you eat them :D
