i need help pricing these frags to sell localy about to make an add up cause i got to get them out they are taking up so much room...!!!please help if you can give me a price of what is reasonable to ask for these frags/colonys i dont wanna rip anyone off..!!

so first is the candy corals ive got a colony of about 4 heads of the green and a colony of about 15-20 heads of the pink. so how much would be a reasonable price for these.? i cant find the color pink anywere so they seem more rare than the green.?

Look on coral sites and see what they are asking.

Do you have a local club? Look to them for local going-rates if you do. Just like any other product, availability is the biggest factor in pricing.

Also, you should consider the hobby... I mostly give away frags to people who are just starting because I think it is the right thing to do. If someone is interested who has been in the hobby for awhile, I try to make a trade instead of taking money to increase my collection.

Well lets see, I just bought a green trumpet frag from a lfs for $20 and it only had two polyps. Given it was a lfs, I would guesstimate for four heads, maybe $25. If you sell an entire colony of 15-20 heads, I would ask for about $50-60. For the birdsnest frags, I would say after looking at some websites, about $40 each. Finally, for the Turbinaria reniformis, I would start say $30-40 for the bigger frags, and less for the small ones. These are all just guesses, one thing you can do is ask yourself what you would pay for a frag. Also remember it is not how much they are worth, but what you can sell them for. Good luck

yeah im not trying to make a killing , and i am def accepting trades only of sps thou.

im thinking like the small small truban frags free, and the larger ones like 5$

birdsnest im gonna say 10$ for the nicely colored one, 5$- free for the other 3

and the pink candy colony i gotta get something for that so im thinking 30$(for 15-20 heads) thats like 2 dollars a head.(i can bet this one will go fast) i would sell for more but i still got 20+ heads of pink and 8 heads of the green.

and i also have like 5 individual colonies of red sea zenia like 5$ a colony.

i think this still allows me the good karma of selling cheaply while still in the end having enough $ for a new sps colony of my own....

also if someone buys more than one thing ill proly just give them the green candys.
does this sound like a deal if you were to buy them???

i hate selling stuff i never want to rip anyone off. like a few months ago i sold a complete 44 gal corner tank and stand 4 months old. paid 350 new,
i sold it to a kid i thought was getting into the hobby for 100$ to help him out, he sold it the following week for 250$ that mutherf$#@er

Sounds like a good deal to me. With a price like that, anyone can afford it, and you get to recoup what it costs to get fragging equipment/materials.

AWWWW Thats just messed up! That kid is a ****.
I am one for helping people start off too.
I gave away 2 acrylics to friends to help them have one like mine.
One friend decided to clean it with sand paper.. lol.
I had a huge Orange monti that shattered and I gave the majority of it to the other "friend". That a$$h0!3 fragged it and sold it to a Tampa fish store. That was my PRIZE center piece till I shattered it moving it from the 150 to the 55.

Those prices you gave are awesome! I wish my LFS had prices like that!
You should get plenty of action with those prices. Kudos my boy.. lol
