Any thoughts? Been in there since Friday. Seemed fine this morning (arms spread out) and all folded over when I got home. There its still movement, but minimal. Any input is appreciated.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Did you expose the star fish to air?
Have you done your basic water chemistry?

It may just have captured something and is transferring whatever that is to it's oral opening verrrrrrrry slowly.

I had one in my 150 that lasted for 1+ years. I have heard of very few lasting more than that. I left the rear and side glass alone… no cleaning or scraping, so that it could eat the slime that accumulated. No one really knows what they eat and i never saw him take any small pieces of clam, shrimp or fish that i put near it. Good luck and post anything you hear, learn or see. I m sure it will help a lot of people.

I dont think i am missing anything. The smallest inverts i have are a pum pum crab and a coral banded. The coral banded barely comes out from between the rocks and the pum pum i rarely see it.
I will keep an eye on the star and keep you guys updated.
    Thank you

Well that's good. I've heard of people having more success with linkia sp. and sea stars in general when running a UV sterilizer with the tank. As ingtar shinowa said, they usually don't last long in our tanks, due to how little we know about their diets. linkia sp. are known to eat everything from coral to detritus, film/dust algae, and meaty foods. Try giving it pieces of meaty raw seafood like shrimp or mussels.
