I would like to know what's the pro and cons between them two. Or if you would like to share your experience with either one would be appreciated :)

    Thanks

I'd go with the Apex...we weren't happy with the RKE at all. It never seemed to program correctly, and DA wasn't very helpful.

Apex has a much more robust community for support and it has a great reputation for reliability. I, personally, wouldn't trust my tank to anything else.

Are you saying about the reading did not program correctly? or the initial setup?

Apex all the way. Plus the Jr comes with internet capabilities right out of the box (hardwired, unless you want wireless. In that case you need some kind of gaming controller thing). The interface is accessible on your computer or cell phone as well.

Best piece of equipment I bought for my tank.

LFS told me a similar story. Guy wanted him to setup his tank. RKE was included in the setup. He quoted The guy based on how long it took him to set up a Apex. Took him so long he told the guy that he was going to have to charge him more or give up.

Personally I'm going with the RA cause I'm a tinkerer.

My RKL died twice. Less then a year old the first time. They did replace, but it was a headache. The second time it died less than a year after that and crashed my tank... I can't really recommend them...

Reef Angel here, too. IMO, the top two are RA and Apex. Apex will give you more right out of the box, but it will cost more. RA requires more setup and very simple programming. Both have excellent support. I like to tinker and learn as well, so I went with the RA.
