APEX with Tunze or Vortech powerhead?

Loud is pretty relative. My overflow and skimmer are louder than my vortechs. Sure, I still hear them, but I wouldn't call them loud.

Subjective statement. I promise you won't get true eco-smart modes out of a Tunze, without a whole lot of work, and even then I doubt it'd be an exact replication.

 

Biocube, I don't people think one is better than other. I was at RC Apex forum, and there is a guy who programs his tunze with some of the coolest things to do. So it's not about which one better, I am sure both have pro and cons. But for my purposes, which is controllable with APEX, I can do whatever I need. Where vortech have pre-define modes.

Both statements are true. I am sure that there are things Tunze can't do like Vortech, but it goes both ways.

 

One thing Tunze's can't do, and will never be programmed to do, is take up less space like Vortech's do.
