Peppermint shrimp will work wonders. get the big ones yourself, and let the shrimps take care of the other ones

flipping the rock over will not kill aiptasia,it would only cause it to spread more.

I had 2 aiptasias again recently on my zoa frags. If your rocks are easy to remove, put them in a bucket then boil water and squirt the beasts with a hyperdermic needle. It may be a bit hard to do, since they will retract very fast. I had one difficult one that I had to cover up with kalkwasser paste. The paste actually hardened under water and still covers up where the aiptasia was, I assume it died lol. I haven't had any offspring though. I wouldn't squirt the aiptasia in your DT though, if any tissue doesn't fully die and floats off, it could lead to a full blown outbreak.

I have read that getting them younger will have better success with aiptasia than mature ones. Be careful that you actually get true peppermints and not camel shrimp.

I had a peppermint but it was the Atlantic variety and did nothing but nip at my corals and eat my feather dusters. It was a serious pain to catch and move him. If it did eat one, the aiptasia would just come right back in multiples.

Best thing I did was kalk water paste injection. May be time consuming but the aiptasia are not coming back from that.
