    Hi guys, having an issue...

I had a few apstasia's popping up before I left on a job to Kansas, so I took a turkey baster and nailed them with fresh squeezed lemon. They curled up and looked like they were done in. I got back yesterday and BOOM the ones I squirted are not only bigger but now there is more. Help. lol!

I sound like the peppermint shrimp advertising agent. Get a handful and watch the aiptasia dissapear forever. Make sure you get p. shrimp instead of camel, they look the same. I have had about 10 p. shrimp in tank and when they finished up the aiptasia it has never returned. Now that they have done their job, they are fun to watch and will be a valuable member of your cleanup crew.

Thanks for the tips guys. I was surprised that the lemon juice failed so miserably, but I think I'm going to try the peppermint shrimp. Thanks again!

From what Ive seen and been told...the p shrimp will only keep them away...but are not too good at eating them when they are too large..so once they are killed, lemon juice, joes juice etc, the p shrimp keep'em in check...I'm still learn'n so please correct me if I'm wrong.

That sounds reasonable, i have heard that before also. Maybe I'll try to pluck them out and then put in a few shrimp as watchdogs for the inevitable return.

You do not want to try to rip them out!!!!!!!!!!!! Any microscopic pieces that are left will all turn into individual animals.

I bought a single peppermint shrimp for my 34 gallon tank, and he ate every single aiptasia in it in just a day or two (I had 5-6 aiptasia).
