aptaisa or random button polyp?

    hi guys - also this hoping not aptasia as tentacles glow green under moonlight - maybe some sort of button?? any help appreciated.

    Not an aptasia I dont think. The face looks too solid and aptasia normally are semi transparent and dont glow any color at night.

    thats a tough call - aiptasia can be confusing especially when small so I would just keep a close eye on it BUT if it is glowing then probably not

    lol, out with the excellent aptaia -x reccomended to everyone!!not gonna do it yet though as i'm not 100% sure its aptasia are you? - afterall it does glow a lovely fluro green! so won't mind if i get a few more- all other aps i've had were the long clear stringy type all dealt with by -x this ones a new breed prehaps a mutant!!!

    almost looks like a mojano anemone and if is you want to get it out ASAP I am still battling the ones in my tank

    i don't think its a aptasia if it is it has kinda odd coloration

    Neither an aiptasia, nor a button polyp. It's an anemone though, and in that shape it usually spells trouble. I can't give a firm ID and in such a case I'm going to suggest that if you're in doubt, or if it's near something you care about , go ahead and kill it.

    ok first one of these i've seen - gota potential majano on a new piece of rock today (first i've heard of them) looks completely diffeent as is flat faced with short fine tentacles - also sucks in like a button -not sure what to do with this? if kill it how -as not sure aptaisa-x will work on it?.

    not to shure but i tried to remove aptasia by grabbing it with hemostats thought i got it but about 2 weeks later it came back and it did resemble yours for a bit. is this new rock if so its posable lfs cut aptasia and its coming back ......... i agree if its near any thing i'd scrap it
