So my nano cube is being overrun by aptasia. I took a trip to georgia for a month and a friend took care of the tank, when i came back, there are aptasia everywhere. atleast a good 20-30 of them. I was gonna try the lemon juice method but i'm not 100% sure it wont harm my other corals. One particular aptasia is chilling out between two green mushrooms. If i douse the little bugger in lemon juice wont it also hurt the shrooms? other then that the only other method i've been using is finding the gravel they are stuck to, putting them in a bowl, filling it with fresh water, and freezing them. I can't really find were to buy professional aptasia killer so tips or links would be great.

You can try siphoning them out. Also get some peppermint shrimp.
Using lemon juice on the one between the two shrooms will hurt the shrooms as well.

I personally like using Pepper's over any other tactic, just remember to get enough of them. All depends on the size of your tank. I buy 5-6 for my 90g tank when ever I see any Aiptasia in my tank.

I had an issue with Aiptasia as well (~30-40 in my 110g) and when i installed a gfo and carbon reactor i noticed the aiptasia start to disappear and i no longer have any (took 2-4 weeks for all of them to die). I cant say for sure if it was the addition of these 2 reactors but i cant get myself to say it was just a coincidence. Your friend may have over fed the fish to the point of creating a phos issue i dont know if you use a micron sock but a month without changing that can create a water issue --> which aiptasia love. I'd say decrease the amount of food and any additive for 2 weeks and do some water changes to eliminate the poor water quality possibility and phosphates. and maybe think about a reactor or 2. joe juice never worked for me and i went through 3 bottles over a few months. if all these aptasia appeared while you were gone your friend probably just created some water issue that can be fixed my WC and starving out the pests.
