.i put peppermints in my tank , peppermints seem to be hit or miss when it comes to eating aptasia they could care less about the aptasia that was in my tank, maybe because there is so much other food? not sure. and no way can you catch those little buggers to remove them, i wanted to put 2 in the refugium to reproduce and slowly throw food into the tank. but couldn't catch them, so they are still in my tank and now part of the clean up crew. they dont bother anything so oh well.

These eat aiptasia only? I thought I read that they may eat coral? Where did you get your Berghia Nudibranch?

I'll never put a CBS in a reef setting again after my last one. I've owned at least a dozen over the last 14-ish years... Get rid of it IMO. Even if you are a miss on the peppermints, you will have a replacement to the CBS that is much less of a risk to have in your system.

joes juice i found at my local fish store. its cheaper than the other, but the bottle is half the size. (i still have some left, it goes a long way)
i had those aptasia popping up even in my xenia. i injected them and it didnt even effect the xenia. but i can tell you... i hit one of my maxi anemones with the joes juice by accident, and it wasnt happy. luckily the maxi has recovered.

CBS~ You are at risk of it eating fish and inverts. And just being a bully. Commonly causes nicked fins on fish.
Will pick at scraps of food and act like part of a CUC.

Peppermint~ Other inverts and CUC are not at risk and fish are not at risk. Will also act as part of CUC and pick up scraps. Biggest benefit, the fact that they eat aiptasia anemones. Some say they have problems with keeping and coral nipping.

I kept them in my last reef: They ate aiptasia and never messed with my coral. They don't come out as much as a CBS, but CBS don't normally hang out in the front either.

    Thanks :)

I think we may try some peppermint shrimp. I'll be sad to see my big girl go, and H will be hawk-eyeing the tank with the peppermint shrimp to make sure they don't attack his corals..

Peppermint shrimp are the only ones who will eat aiptasia?
