I inject mine (in the flesh) with purple up, I don't use purple up in my tank (it was given to me by someone) so I tried it on the aptasia and it works great. Just try to remove the dead flesh if you can because it can float around and re-grow.

In the past, I have used RedSea's Aiptasia-X and a couple of Peppermint Shrimps. I have found that the Pepper's work the best. Something to keep in mind, depending on the size of your tank, you may need to buy a couple of them. If you only buy 1 or 2, they will eat what is left over from the fish and not touch the aiptasia. Buy more than you think you need and in no time will make your aiptasia disappear. Luna

Howdy folks... It's been a few days since I've posted any comments. Being a teacher has it's perks: Working with great students, dealing with music on a daily basis... wonderful; However, This time of year, holiday, gets really busy... So here's an update on my tank: It's still in the cycle. I'm without a test kit so I get it checked at a very reputable lfs in San Antonio! I'm going there this weekend to get an update...

+1 on the base rock. I filled my 90 with about 40 pounds of moderately live rock from the guy I bought the tank from and about 70-80 pounds of base rock and my tanks doing great. I say moderately because it had bacteria, coraline, and nuisance algae, but no hitchhikers of any sort. In my experience, syringes and kalkwasser is all unnecessary. I just squeezed a lemon, put the juice in a pipet, and squirted the pipette on the aptasia and boom. Just like the video above with the kalkwasser except no syringe and less hassle. Never came back.

What my peppermint shrimp did not get, this method did. Killed it dead. I only had one left smack dab in the middle of a zoa rock. Didn't damage any zoas. Wonderful method.

Howdy folks... It's been a while but I'm back with a smile! I've doubled the live rock in my tank. I'm going with all of the rock along the back of the tank and one piece along the right side! I think it looks cool! Here's a pic!
