Someone local is giving away green star polyps he also has an Aqua C Remora Pro Skimmer with a filter/overflow style surface prefilter box for $100. I think it has a big pump - My question - can I get a pump for the Pro small enough to work for my 45g long tank. Also what size pump? The reg Remora comes in a Maxijet 1200 I'm wondering if I can get that size for the pro and also is the overflow box going to work ok with that size pump. The prefilter box is not factory it is home made. Thanks

are you worried about over skimming your tank? if i were you try to use that first and see how it goes. i have a good skimmer that is rated for 120-250 gallons that i use on my 65g tank with no issue what so ever.

They make that prefilter box for the Remora as I use to have one on a 55g.

Sounds like a really good deal. I would pick it up. You would just need to pick up a Mag 3 or Rio 1400 to run it. I would get a Mag 3 if given the choice between the two.

That would be a great little skimmer for your tank. Don't worry about overskimming if that is a concern.
