Aqua C Remora Pro Help please!

Hey guys,

I have this skimmer, and the problem is that it skims really really wet. Practically all water, needs to be emptied like 5 times a day. I have it on a timer right now to run from 11pm to 8am. Its on a lightly stocked frag tank (Kole tang, CUC, some frags ... about 80 lbs of live rock)

My collection cup is as high as it goes ... and we're going on 6 weeks now ... what can I do ... is there anything ??

 

What pump are you using with it?

You have the rubber band all the way at the bottom of the cup?

 

The Pump is the Maxi Jet 1200 and the rubber band is as far down as I can get it while still keeping it level.

 

I always get wet skimmate from mine but it has never been that bad. If I move the rubber band down to raise the cup I can get it to stop skimming altogether.

I have one, try turning the set screw to adjust the flow into the skimmer, are you over feeding? I might empty mine 1 or 2 times a week. See if flow rate helps you.
