aqua c remora to much bubbles?

i bought a used aquac remora skimmer with maxijet 1200 ans surfice skimmer. its been running for about 3 weeks now and the collection cup is at its max height. problem is its filling up with slightly brown tinted water almost clear water. whats going on with it???

 

If its at its highest and is filling with water very fast there is something in the water thats causing it. Have you used Prime? Any slime coat product. It will slow down but give it a few days

 

i used water conditioner .... im guessing that might do it? ive been having to use conditioned tap water because my ro filter is giving me problems ( this isnt my tank this is a friends )

 

Yes, the slime coat type water conditioners will increase the surface tension of the water. This means the bubbles don't pop as easily, which means they all go up into the cup. It should settle down, but every time you use it the skimmer will go crazy for a couple of days.
