I am trying to find an affordable/reliable skimmer and see alot of people using the Remora. Are you using this in the sump? Aqua C also makes the Urchin for in the sump (both about $150-160 with pump)Anyone with experience with this one?

Any other suggestions for affordable/reliable skimmer for in a sump?

    Thanks

What size tank is it going on ? Might want to look at Turboflotor or the red sea Berlin's X-L or classic both are really good skimmers time tested and they will do the job. In the price range you posted i don't think there are any better skimmers really

I have a Remora which I originally used on the back of my tank, but now have in my sump. If you plan on going with a sump from the very start (and I'd suggest that you should) I'd look into the Urchin. I don't have any experience with this model, but you'd have to do some tweaking with the Remora (longer input tube and some modification for the return to cut down on splashing) if it's used in a sump.
    Good luck!

I love my hang on aqua c remora. Easy to use, great to clean, company is great, and skimming is great too!

Go with the sump model and upgrade the pump!
