I have this chiller too! It works great!

you have to calibrate the digital readout to "match" the actual temp of your tank (i.e.: your thermometers).

To do this you hold down the set button for about 3-5 seconds until you see a "d" (i believe) on the screen. Then press the up or down arrows (which will alter the degree setting in 1 degree increments) to "match" the true water temp.

In other words, if your chiller says the temp is 80 degrees and all your other thermometers say 79 degrees, then you would press the down arrow 1 time. I believe you can adjust it up or down 5 degrees.

 

i already did that. twice. temperature is still 1 degree off. temp in my tank is 78, chiller shows 77. before calibration it was + 3 degrees from the actual temp. but besides that, it does seem like a great chiller. quiet as a mouse too!
