    im tagging along this sees like a pretty cool idea....but if you dont dose you may need to start if your not doing WCs because you need to replace significant elements

    Nothing beats a good water change IMO. Personally I wouldn't substitute one for the other ;)

    i know a lot of people who rely 100% on WCs but not so much because of water quality but more so to replenish elements....the other portion only does a water change once every 2-3 months and relies mostly on dosing for trace elements and both tanks look equally pristine...although WCs is the usual good husbandry of a tank there are other options like running reactors, dosing, and not over feeding etc....around me its really a 50-50 thing with local reefers but to each his own
