Hi again everyone. So I know there are about 1000 different threads talking about these skimmers. BUT, I have a 92 gallon tank with a pretty small sump. The sump has bio-balls in it and right now I have a skimmer that literally doesn't work! It's a kent marine nautilus-te and its pretty darn old. I have to go buy a new skimmer asap and I want to know if the EV-120 will do its job on my tank. I'm thinking about going with the smaller one because my sump is small itself; There's just not that much room in there. So, please advise and let me know how I should install the skimmers (in sump, out of sump, what size pump, what kind of pump, etc.). I'm still very new to the hobby and could use all the help and advise possible. Thanks a lot.

I have a 90g DT with a 55g sump/refugium and I use the EV180. I would recommend the 180 b/c if you up-grade your sump or add a refugium in the near future, you'll still be within its limits. Not to mention if you up-grade your tank.

I am running a EV-120 on a 75 with a 33 gallon fuge and 50 gallon sump, total gallons is about 120. it works just fine but Luna is right in what he said.

Also the EV-120 isn't not a lot smaller that the 18 because I have both. The EV-120 is 18" tall with a footprint of 4.75" x 8.5" and the EV-180 is 20" tall with Footprint: 5.55" x 9 so the difference is only 2 inches in height and 3/4" in footprint.
