AquaC EV-180 Help!!

    Sounds exactly how I have mine running too, except that I have mine on a stand. You don't have the gate underwater right?

    Can anyone with an EV-180 that is running properly post a video of one and show it bubling in the chamber correctly?

    No the gate is not underwater it is wide open and falling into the sump

    Can I ask how old your setup is ?
    My 180 did not get good results until after it ran for a few months. Also, make sure you clean the air gate valve about every two weeks.

    Other than that, the advice given is good to look at.

    Ya the setup is maybe three weeks old as I have converted from a nano tank to a 72 bow front. Here is the video link to my skimmer in action

    I had the exact same problem with my skimmer!.... does yours have a john guest fitting on the main body (its for kalk or a calcium reactor...or anything i guess)? mine had one and the problem was, was that i had to plug it... it was just sucking in all the air it wanted no matter how much i adjusted the air valve.

    ohi should add it may take another week to break in if that was the problem.

    No I dont believe it has a john guest fitting. Where are they usually located if there is one?
