So my torturous long week of waiting for free shipping ends in a few hours.

I'm waiting patiently in my room for that surreal purr of the UPS diesel van pulling up my driveway. I'll walk outside to be greeted by a large, butch lady with legs the size of my torso, wearing those hott brown shorts that look as though they were stolen from Steve Erwin (RIP).

Anyway, yeah. I ordered the aquac remora with the optional maxijet 1200 (it usually ships with the 800). I read tons of awesome reviews on it. So I'll be taking a good few pics, and letting you guys know what I think in a couple weeks when it has broken in.

I have the exact same skimmer, love it. Make sure to not worry about the mirco bubbles, they will go away after the unit breaks in after a week or so. enjoy!

Did you prep it in anyway? I.E running vinegar water through it to get the oil off of the plastic?

if you are using it on the display tank, better to have the skimmer box, you will get a lot clearer surface water and your lights can penetrate deeper, and you eliminate microbubbles. the skimmer works, I have used it for about two years with no problem. used ones usually go for under $100 with the skimmer box (I think thats the only downside with this skimmer, resale value seems low).
