I've had the AquaC Remora pro with 1200 maxjet for about 1 month. It produces so many microbubbles. I have a 54 corner tank and it's driving me nuts. I tried putting some foam where the water comes out but that didnt work. What will work?

    Thanks

The pro version of the remora is best paired with a much more powerful pump. You should replace the mj 1200 with a Mag 3 or 5. The mj1200 is best paired with the standard Remora, not sure if your wires were crossed on the pairing. When my Remora standard broke in after a week or so I had no microbubbles. I think when you get the correct pump you will not have the problem.

Is the skimmer in the display or in a sump?

I know I have the same one but I have mine in the sump not in the actual tank that you look at.

If it is below the display tank cut a filter socks top off and wrap it on the end of where the water comes out and it solves the micro bubble problem easy.

Hmm, thanks for the clarification on what version you have. I used my as an HOB and after the break-in period I had no microbubbles.

Alright thanks. Maybe i'll just wait alittle longer. I use to put chemicals in it bc my fish were dying then i got a professional service to do the cleaning. Does the skimmer need to be cleaned at all or no?

what chemicals? You would put them directly in the skimmer? You may have caused some sort of issue by doing that. I would take the skimmer off, run it in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and warm water for a few hours. Clean it & the pump fully & then put it back on the tank.

No i would put in the tank itself. in the beginning i put in like aquasafe(remora guy told me to switch to something else) aommonia remover, ph higher, this cycle chem. I'm sure it's from that.
So you suggest i do a full clean on it? Do i have to use vinegar?
    Thanks
