    Hi, im thinking on getting the pre-filter for my aquac remora pro, but dont know how it works or anything. Supposely is for cleaning the oil on the surface and other things but is it hard to install or someone that can give reviews. THANK YOU.

    Ahh, your talking about the surface skimmer. From what I have read they work well but most people seem to think the way they attatch to the pump is poorly designed.

    I have the Remora. You dont need the surface skimmer. If you are running carbon you wont have the oily look on the surface of the water. Get soome phosban also. My tank is heavily stocked also.

    I have it - it is LARGE and does attach awkwardly but does work well IMO
