Hey Everyone! I'm a newbie to these forums and somewhat to the saltwater community. I'm trying to learn as much as i can before I get my tank running. I do have some questions hopefully some of you can add your feedback..

Which kind of AquaC Remora Skimmer should I get? Do I really need the Pro??

Thanks a lot guys! This will help me in the right direction as I begin to build my tank.

    Thanks!

I ran a standard one with no issues for over a year.

What size tank do you have?

The pro is thinner for one. Less space between the tank and wall. It also uses a much bigger pump.

If you are planning on a heavily stocked tank, then I would go pro.... otherwise.

    I think you meant fatter.

I have both. The Pro measures 3 1/4 by 7 1/2 inches. The regular Remora measures 2 3/4 by 6 inches. Actual measurements just taken. On a 55g you will fine with just the regular Remora. Don't plan on a heavily stocked tank, it's bad news. If something goes wrong it goes real wrong, real fast on a heavily stocked tank.
