    I need help with this, my nitrates tend to run high i have no clue why, tank is not overstocked and i do weekly water changes. I saw this on a thread on another site and was wondering how it works? how much would it all cost? what do i need? Is it efficient? And what about lighting?

    The AC fuge will provide more food than it will take out nitrate. Its just not large enough for most aquariums to have enough algae to remove nitrates and waste fast enough.

    You'll need some silicone, either glass or acrylic panels and thats about it. its very simple to make
