aquaclear power filter motor DIY?

    I have an aquaclear power filter but only the motor unit and impeller. I am wondering this motor unit is submersible. Or if any DIY project could be started with it?

    if its the part from the filter, they are not submersible. That piece remains outside of the tank ... is it from an HOB filter?

    yea that's the one - i don't have the case anymore - i just thought maybe some DIY can be created from it.

    I would say it probably is not worth saving unless you have another filter like it came off that you could use it for spare parts.
