When buying the jr what is the model to get. Is there a particular one the has the ph probe temp probe and do you need the dc8 and dc4 to be at full capacity. Does all this come with the unit or do you buy it separate.

Most everyone puts packages together. Everything is seperate though. I got mine from Aquacave. You can get a good price. The only option is getting the serial port. You have to have that to hook up to the computer, and it is not possible to add in the future. But then again, I didn't see anyone selling without it. It comes with temp probe, PH probe is extra.

There is a way to get your Jr. on the web using a blue tooth adapter, but honestly, if web acsess is important to you, you should get the 3.

you can hook up the Jr. to your computer, but you have to have the serial cable. That is extra and it is not standard. So you need theirs or build your own.

If you want wireless conectivity, you need a port to hook up to the serial. The 3 comes with ethernet.

They can also simulate lunar and daylight cycles when the controller is comunicating with your pc and the apropriate calendar! I believe you can add custom cycles to simulate a cloudy day, or stormy weather, or you could just quit your job and sit by your tank all day and flip switches.

I have ordered from reefgeek before and love them. They always have great prices. Would this look like all I need to order. I do have one other question. I see the dc8 has 8 outlets can I get another dc 8 or am I limited to geting the dc4 that has 4 outlets as another add on.

Ya, the Jr. can only control 12 outlets. I suppose you could get two 8s perhaps for the future? I got a used DC4 HD and a DC8 package.

Dude, you are sooooo lucky you do not have a wife to slap down these ideas. Enjoy it while it lasts. Because soon (sooner than you think!!!!) you will be asking permission. And whining. So buy all this stuff now. Quick.

    LMAO. Now, it's just choices.
"If I went on 2 less dates this month, I could buy another 60 pounds of base rock easily" are the domestic ramblings that run through my head. And don't feel too bad John, married or not, the women usually win anyways.

Tell me about it. I have been with this one (off and on) for 20 years. No!!! 23 years. Wow. Time flies. It is a good thing actually. One of my techs was reminding me that if it weren't for Karen, I would have twice the money into that tank than I do now. Now, she said it in a way that this is a good thing. I just started thinking divorce.....::). J/K. Hehehe.;D
