I have an AC Jr and DC8.... life is good. I bought a DC4HD.

I have the dip switches set on the DC4HD to A9-12 and the phone chord hooked up between the DC8 and the DC4HD.

The AC Jr is not recognizing the DC4HD.

Is there something special I need to do to get the AC Jr to recognize the the DC4HD???

If I had one, I would help you. Sorry. ;)

In all seriousness though, have you tried changing the order they are plugged in off of the controller? I don't know if that would make a difference or not. Otherwise, I have nothing.

First off, AC Jr. cords are not "phone cords". They are not standard jacks. Thats cool if you are just calling it that, but not if that is what you are using. I lost about 2 hours of my life trying to figure out why my AC didn't recognize my DC4 when it was because I just grabbed a phone cord out of my box because I wanted a longer one.

Other than that.... pretty straight forward, just positioning dip switches and it will recognize it.

+1 on the chord, that also stole time from me the, "phone" looking cable needs to have a 4 wires inside the connector most standard phone cables only have 2

I had to go manually add the addresses and names under Setup Timer, Add Names. Once I did that, it worked. On the normal "Run" default screen though, where it has the icons for the status of each switch, it still only shows 8 icons. It is working, I'll play with it some more to see about getting the icons displayed.
