I saw this AquaControllerII on marinedepot.com and it's like $300 for the base unit. It controlls the light cycle and a wavemaker and a temp., pH, and ORP prongs. I just wanted to know if anyone has used this. I want one it sounds neat. it also has a online program that it's programmed to your computer. It tells you your tank dianogstics and it emails or pages you if you tank has an error. It keeps track of all your tanks perameters. It also watches your inverts.

Hmmm . ok the things work on what is called x10 technology. Basically you get the units you want to control and plug them into modules (little boxes that plug into a wall outlet). The unit sends a electrical signal from the controller through your electrical wiring in the walls of you house until it locates the module that it wants to control, then turns it on or off.
In the controller unit you assign names for the modules (modules have one switch from a to M and another from 1 through 14??) So say you have a light and you make it A1. so in the controller unit you put the command: turn A1 on at 9:00am and off at 9:00pm. the unit will through a signal out at 9 and turn on module A1.
Now a neat thing is that you can get deep with your commands. The unit monitors ph, orp, temp, conductivity via probes. So you could have commands like If PH goes below 7.7 turn off the calcium reactor and start up kalk doser. so lots of different ways to play and you can control pretty much anything.

If you get it shoot me a email and I will walk you through it.

yes it will monitor ph, orp, cond, temp. so you can monitor them now and in the future they could control them. remember it will control all your lights and so on to.

The software is good, if your going to use it. It allows you to change settings and controls from your PC, or internet. It will show you graphs on how your temp, orp, ph , cond. levels over the coarse of a period of time.

If you use its good, you need a special cable to attach it to your PC.
