Aquael - Tempered Glass?

Hey,

I got an Aquael aquerium last week and im planing for my sump ect.

Could anyone tell me if the bottom of this tank is tempered? Ive got a

Also, the tank is 150x50x50 (cm)... How on earth do they calculate that as 300l? Yes it has a curved front, but can it really "loose" 30% of its total from it being bent a bit? :O

 

Anyone got any tips then of how to check if its temperd or not?

 

Call them and ask.
Edit: the curve is also a gentle curve and you won't lose 30% of the water volume. You will lose some, but not 30%.

 

wow... seriously i cant believe i didnt think of phoning them, i sent them an email last week but didnt get a reply, i didnt even think of phoning... damn this modern age!

Im gonna have to measure how many litres it is in that tank myself i think . Just wanted a second opinion to confirm i wasnt crazy thinking 75litres missing (~20g) according to there webpage!

It all depends on the curve of the glass. Some bow fronts have sharp curves while others have slow smooth curves. From the photo, it looked like a slow smooth curve.
