2 would be plenty. AI suggests that they have around a 2' X 2' footprint.

 

IME, it's more like 24"x18", but it will do that type of area wonderfully.

 

Yea I just ordered 2. BTW is there any DIY ideas for none hanging LED lights that anyone knows about or has done themselves?

I hung mine from the canopy top about 8" above the water. I hung them lengthwise.
