Aquamaxx HOB. How far down the tank do they hang on the Outside?

    Hello all.

    I was hoping to run into someone who happens to know how far the aquamaxx HOB reaches down the back of a tank.

    Like say if its a 12" tall tank, is that enough height to effectively hang this HOB protein skimmer and it be able to function as designed?

    Thanks for any help, i'll send the manufacturer an email for this info this weekend if nobody knows. That way we'll all know lol.

    Hey Dark Earth

    I have the very similar Aqua Excel skimmer
    from the bottom of the skimmer clamps that sit on the tank wall
    to the base of the skimmer the distance is 22cm

    so providing your tank is taller than 22cm ,the skimmer will fit

    I have that skimmer, just went down and measured. From the top lip of the tank to the bottom of the skimmer measures in at 11 inches. Good choice on that unit, works great for a HOB unit once it is broken in
