I have been using my Aquapod 24 for about a month and the only way to have a heater is to have the cord hang off the side or back. The problem is the cord is getting crimped by the hood. Is anyone else using one of these tanks and running a heater?

I had the same problem with my nano cube. I finally added a sump and put the heater in there!!!

Take the hood off and cut out a little opening in the back of it with a Dremel or saw.

I figured that is what I would do, drill...I was hoping not to have to do that though...

I cut mine with a drill also before putting it in the sump.. Still seemed to bind up now and then.... my hood would make a popping sound...
