I went to my LFS last week and picked up a free copy of REEF hobbyist magazine while I was buying a few snails, after flipping threw the magazine i noticed there was a ad for marine software called " Aquariogest " New Marine Aquarium Software - AquarioGest Saltwater is anyone familiar with this software ???? If so do you think it would be a good investment for 79 dollars ???

Looks neat. I've been looking, for a while, for something just like this. I never had much luck. It's hard to see the "screen-shots" of the program though so I don't know what it would be like. They don't show you to much, for a reason though, I am sure.

It looks like a very simple database program, rather than a spreadsheet. However, you could make something very similar on your own if you wished to invest the time.

$79 seems pretty steep to me. I would be more receptive to the idea if it were in the typical shareware price range of $15-$30.

You hit the nail on the head though... if they showed you too many screen shots, they'd be basically telling people how to set up their own templates in FileMaker or a similar app.

I dont think I want on paper anywhere on what I have spent on this hobby.. my accountant and Financial advisors would kill me and I dont think the wife would even wait for that to collect the life insurance.

however, if I did, i WOULD NOT pay $79 for it. there are already spreadsheets and such out there that can track it.

I'll do it! And only charge $15... Sound good? :)

No but seriously, you can set it up on your own. If you want some help I can probably whip something up in excel or access or python or any other language haha :)

And I agree... It may make me sick to realize what I spend on this hobby!
