    Says non toxic. I have never used them.

    Usually the LFS can give you some new larger shells if these are too big.

    Im sure they are fine, but they are really pretty big. Just how large are your hermits?

    they are actually quite small, the openings being less then an inch in length - perfect size for my current hermits which are no more then an inch in length when out of their shells - if that
    .

    Those shells would be ok for larger species of hermits, but my concern is their environment. IOW, if they're in a reef tank, they'll become quite destructive with that type of shell; I'd recommend a smoother, more compact style. Personally, I hand-select land hermit shells from the LFS for my larger crabs.

    Might want to check if they are real shells or man made? Some man made ones are really heavy and crabs usually look for lightweight homes.
