ok so heres the deallio. my 30 gallon tank crashed. my very large brittle starfish i had in there died and despite multiple water changes the fish/corals that were left died. im not sure what im going to do (tear down/ keep up) but i still have my 55 gallon that is running like a charm.

now to my main question. i have one mangrove that has survived this whole ordeal. i would like to plant it into a pot. i dont want to put it into the 55 because i already have 5 or 6 in there.

is there anything special i need to do to get the mangrove back to full freshwater? or do i simply replant and itll be fine?

    thanks,
    Gexx

I'm not sure if they can retransition after sprouting, but more then likely you will have to acclimate it over days.

I believe that you have to transition to fresh water, i.e. slowly bring the salinity down. See attachment.

i had extra that i grabbed from the ocean, and i just threw them into a clear vase with tap water and they're sprouting new roots. I've heard your supposed to slowly change salinity but i didn't and it worked.
