    Update

    UPDATE:

Alright all I really went to work today on my project. I got my Aquatic Reef Keeper in this week and I had to take on or the sumps out to reconfigure everything (again). Anyway here are a couple of pics of the work. I also installed the the 2 part dosing system, auto top off, ph, salinity and temperature probes.

    Update2

    UPDATE:

I also got a chance to finish glueing the aquascape. I bought masonry twine and used it to tie the structure together so that it held as I installed it in the tank. It didn't come out too bad (I hope) ;D

Anyway here are some pics of the tie down and install. I also place a couple of links to you tube. They are just short videos of the aquascape.

    Update 3

Well everyone I finally got everything ready and I started to fill the system yesterday but with a 75gpd RO/DI this is going to take me several days to get it filled.

On another note the Digital Aquatic Reef Keeper came with no instructions and finding them was a challenge but I got them. So now I will try to get this programmed and running.

Question, since I am using dead rock, does this mean that the curing cycle will be shorter. I did put in live sand to jump start the process. Is there anything else I need to do?

BTW is there anything in these pics that I did wrong or need to change. i.e. too much sand?

Is that just plain Ro/di water you're filling into the tank? If so, that is on thing I would change. You should probably be filling it with saltwater. Especially if you have live sand in there. You could use a 20 gallon bucket/garbage can for mixing/heating the water before putting it in your DT. Just my .02

I actually have a 20 gallon mixing/heating station setup for water changes. I thought it was ok to mix it in the DT and use the powerheads and pump to mix it up? :(

Will work. Just takes much longer, as it's not as efficient at mixing. If it were me, I would use the twenty with a heater and pump or powerhead to get it all mixed and warm. Then pump I to DT and repeat.

Wow, looks good. You are going all out from the get go. Will save you some headaches and money in the long run.

Thanks Inertiatic. I figured if I was going to take the plunge I might as well do it right. Lol Like you said I will save my self a whole lot of headaches which is exactly why I went all out. Either way I figured that if I didn't do it now (expense) I would do it eventually. At least this way doing it now it would save me the trouble and headache of trying to accomplish this with a system already up and running. Thanks for the feedback. I'll post an update when I've finish filling the system and it curing the rock.
