Corailine yes I did my water change on Saturday and still the ph remained the same. I am measure with API ph saltwater test kit, American Marine Pinpoint ph probe and the ph probe on my reef keeper. both probes read the same and api (well you know it's not exact)

No I haven't added anything at all within the last week. And I started with dry rock reef savers to be exact. Live sand and a couple of cured live rock from a nano tank I had.

Then I would increase surface agitation as much as possible.
    Get your mag/ca/alk levels.
Test a few times at the end of the lighting period and again at the very beginning to see how much of a swing you have.
What type of salt are you using?

    Test results

Ok everyone I got home and did the tests for cal, alk and mg

    Ph 7.5
    Temp 78.8
    Ammonia 0ppm
    Nitrite 0 ppm
    Nitrate 0ppm
    Cal 520+
    Alk 169 ppm
    Mg 1400

Cal is off the chart my Hanna cal checker wouldn't even give me a reading it just flashed 600 so I used the API test and got over 520 as 520 is the max on their chart. For the alk test I used the Hanna digital checker for mg I used the red sea kit

Granted I'm new at this so I need help. I know that cal should be at 480 for reef, right? So how do I fix this? Alk not sure and mg I believe the target is 1450 so 1400 is not too bad. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? :(
    Thanks

    Cycle completed

Hey everyone I just wanted to give a quick update.. I'll post picks later tonight. My cycle completed about a week and a half ago.. I finally have some diatoms going in the tank. I've been putting food in every other day feed my CUC and keeping bacteria alive while I stabilized my PH which was pretty low.. Anyways i finally got stable at 8.2, SG is at 1.024.

I just got my first few fish, two clown (ocellaris) and a royal gamma. Pics will come of them too. I set up my quarantine tank yesterday with my water change and they'll be there over the next few days maybe a week. I'll post tonight, so excited;D
