Here are the pics of the 3 new additions to the tank. I have them in the quarantine tank but I already feed them and they seem to have a happy appetite. The two clowns ate like there was not tomorrow. The royal gamma seem to be on the shy side. He is hiding behind the heater and under the rocks. He sometimes comes out but he ate when I feed them. I hope this is just typical for royal gammas. Any way here are some pics of them

Looks like everything is coming together nicely! I really like how your scape turned out.

Pghsteeler thanks it coming along great. I'm really happy with the way the aquascape came out. Lots of caves and overhangs and plenty of room for corals. I can't wait to start on those but I'll wait until the tank matures a little more. Do you know which anemone I should get for the clowns? ;D

You might want to research that before jumping in. An anemone should only go into a well established tank so you have awhile before you have to decide but a lot of people suggest bubbletips for a starter. You also have to be careful because they are known to crawl around the tank and kill any corals in their paths and sometimes even fish. Carpet anemones are known for this I believe as they get pretty large. Some say that they dont really belong in a reef tank because of the risk but many do it without issues if you are careful enough and research a lot since different types have different behaviors. Also depending on the kind of clowns you get they may or may not hsot different types on anemones.

Well my new fishies have been doing great eating well with no signs of any problems so yesterday I put them in there new home and they are doing great. The royal gamma quickly claimed a cave as a his new home. :) Lol

Also the tank seems to be doing great as well. About a week ago or so maybe more I seeded my HOB refugium and DT with copods which I got from livecopods.com which another reefer on the site recommended. Let just say that yesterday I freaked out when I came home from work and saw all these things floating all over the place. It looked like I had just pour sand into the tank. So naturally I contacted a friend on this site (thanks Mike) which explained that they were the copods.

It seems these little multiple almost overnight. They were everywhere even on the glass. I shot a quick vid Aquarium Nats - YouTube. Check it out. Being this is my first SW tank I thought I had done some newbie mistake glad to know that I haven't. If anyone thinks that this is not the copods, please please let me know what you may think it is what to do to correct it. Thanks everyone

Hey all. My tank is coming along great. I even have some red coraline algae starting to grow but I also have something else that I am not quite sure what it might be.

It's flourescent/Lime green in color and it's growing in several places. I'm not sure what it may be. I tried taking a pic of one rock in the back which I think that it may be growing outward but all I have is my iphone so the picture doesn't look all that great. Anyway here are some pics

I also have a CPR HOB refugium which has been running fine. I seed it with copepods and I also have a money plant instead of chaeto. Here are some pics of the money plant. It gotten double in size since I put it in a month ago. I also have some red stuff, I think it's algae but I guess I need confirmation. Also I have some other growth that I just don't know what it is. If anyone can tell me it is greatly appreciated. Is it anything I need to remove or is it ok?

    New Stock

Hey all I just want to post some new pics of more stock I just got for my tank. First I picked up on some Mexican Turbo Snails for my hair algae problem. These thing are huge.

I also got this Fairy Wrasse. She didn't arrive all that well. She was floating on her side in the bag.:( She wasn't dead but then again she was having problems breathing. Anyway I went through the acclimation process, acclimating her for 4 hours just to be on the safe side before I put her in the hospital tank.

I had to leave to go back to work. I hate the fact that I can't be there and to top it all off I have a meeting tonight so I won't be home till late. I am hoping she will pull through. I pretty much left her in the same condition as she arrived in the hospital tank. I hope she makes it.

    New Stock 2

In addition to the above stock I also got my very first two frags ever. Being new to SW I don't have a lot of experience so I will be starting a new thread with a bunch of questions. I just wanted to add it to my original thread. I got a eagle eye zooanthids polyps and purple tip frogspawn. They are supposed to eventually look like this
