I think I may try that next time I reaquascaoe since I now know it's ok for the rock to be out of water

Woops! I rescaped yesterday to distract a newly added juv maroon to an existing juv maroon...anyways I have a cpl styro coolers from purchases from LFS. I take my rock out and place in those while I quickly work...I have done it twice now and I have zoas and a cpl other things that are attched to said rock. They are out of water and in air for about 10-15 mins. They all open up fine about 30 mins or less after but I guess I should be more careful.

It does get hard under water. At least the kind I used. Just takes longer. And it really has to be wedged into the pores and holes of the rock to hold. Wont hold on a flat surface. And don't let the rock move while its drying

push it to the back if you are shooting for more swimming room. That's what i did and the fish love me for it.... Or maybe that is just narcissism like my wife says:-/

yea, i'm trying for more swimming room/caves and hides. Iotally give up, i hate not being able to see what i'm doing. It seems like i keep on going back to the wall type. I have it all stuffed in the tank, and i'm afraid i will be up all night tonight fixing it how i want it. i think my biggest problem is maybe to much rock and to many large pieces. I'm looking for almost like a slope idea. like high up in the back, and like stepping stones down, that way i can almost look down at the reef, i'm trying to get this thing as natural as possble, i may just take some rock out and just throw it away to have less
