Yeah for real and thanks! Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'm gonna call the mighty putty "ordering hotline" tomorrow and ask if they know.

from what I understand the PVC snapped straight off right? if so honestly I think your biggest problem is actually being able two get the to pieces back together

though if you got it to work I would let it cure for a few days then try to rinse the inside of the pipe real good. not exactly sure how you would do that cause everything is attached :x

it's not pvc, it's clear plastic. yeah snapped off below the water line in the bulkhead.:-/ not a clear snap in half jagged, like a mountain, if you know what I mean. then instead of hubby letting me fix it he took it out to the man cave and cut the end off it to make it straight...yeah I'da slapped some super glue on that puppy and set it back in, but he made the break part straight across. He put a piece of pvc into the plastic pipe, about a 2 inch piece. Since it fit in there pretty snug, I figured it would do the same for the end that was stuck in the bulkhead, but it doesn't. Not sure why, but it's not staying upright, it's leaning and I'm getting leakage around the base where it's broke. I can tell cause the sand is blowing gently away from the pipe.

hey Zach... I haven't used it pending more research on the mighty putty. they never got back to me and their ordering peeps don't have a clue. I stuck the end of the pipe into the hole and so far just my linkia has made it move. It blows up a bunch of sand from the floor of the tank, but other than that, no ill effects! Thanks for asking!

I just went through and looked at Papa's reply and well....Other than you I haven't heard of anyone else using it. I have used another type that my lhs sold and it worked fine, so I might go ahead and use it. Thanks for the reply!

gras, I use mighty putty all the time to mount corals with no ill effects. The first time I used it, I stuck a montipora using this putty just upstream from one of my acros and this was about a month ago. As of yet there has been no ill effects and the monti is encrusting the putty so I would have to say it is perfectly safe.
