aquastyle leds buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes these kits are very cheap and crappy!!!!!!! the dimmers that came with the kit dont work and they didnt send any thing to hook power up to the dimmers thank god a 3reefer suggested modularled.com ill be buying from them for now on. there stuff is so simple it cost a little more but at least you know your getting something good and they have videos on there site how to wire everything. that or use rapid led thats a pretty good led site to. my kit came with no instructions and there web site has nothing on it. also tech support from aquastyle dosnt exist i got one reply from them asking my order number and thats all ive heard it been 4 weeks. so i guess thats $200 down the drain.

 

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with Aquastyle. I on the other hand, am very happy with my purchase of the 36 LED kit, it came with everything I needed to assemble the kit. The dimmers worked as they should (are you sure you wired then correctly?).
I found Ray, the person I was dealing with, to be very professional and helpful and I was even more impressed with the speedy delivery. The order was shipped on Friday from China and I received it on Tuesday in Australia.

 

Sorry to hear about this. I hate these threads though, as they are sort of a catch22 really though. Latter someone will ask about these kits, and if someone says they have heard of issues, the op will get defensive and ask for proof. When the thread can no longer be found, the op and others will attack and say that the posted "is just anti-cheap things" LOL.

 

you mentioned they didnt send anything to hook up power to the dimmers? im assuming you mean the drivers? In which case, i bought from rapid, ledgroupbuy, and none of theirs came with power cords, I had to add those myself. Secondly, these are leds kits that we are building ourselves. It is not up to the store to hold your hand and tell you what to do. You dont get mad at home depot for not telling you how to screw in the package of screws you picked up. If purchasing electronics equipment to build yourself, You should have a good understanding of what your doing, especially making a high powered led to sit above a fish tank to grow corals. I understand this can be frusterating but from the little you described on your problems, it sounds like it may be coming from you not putting this together correctly.
