    Yeah that is dirt cheap. Looks like it kicks out nice foam too.
    How noisy is it?

    Besides the gurgle before initial foam builds up, it's friggin silent. It's been getting a good foam for about 3 hours now and I haven't heard a peep from it.

    Definitely is so far. Thanks for the thread or I wouldn't have known about this skimmer in the first place :thumbs_up

    Day 3 and as you can see, it's doing a great job. Micro bubbles emitted into tank are about 1/3 of what they were on day one.

    So far I think this is a great skimmer. One of the few small inexpensive units that actually work.

    Hey slocal that skimmate looks a bit clear, can you get the water level lower to make it more coffee colored?

    More than likely. I've got no real bio load on the tank so far as it's cycling with 40lbs of cured and heavily algae covered live rock only . It's currently week two in the process.

    gave it a quarter turn down and the foam is now building up from the bottom of the column. Should be a lot less water in it now.

    Do you have any new pics of what the skim looks like since you turned the flow down?
