Hello Guys, I was wondering if you knew anything about the 6x54 T5 Aquatic Life reef fixture? I like the fact it has a 24/7 build in digital timer to control the different bulbs. Also, it can be hung from the ceiling and wondered how well their system worked? This is for my new 75 gallon.
    Thanks

Just picked up the 4 bulb fixture. I am satisfied however I cant really compare it to much else becuase this is my first one. Also it does have individual reflectors contrary to what I was told before purchase. The moonlights are so so.

P.S. I've noticed there arent many people on this forum that offer advice to newbies. They just go back and fourth chatting amongst the big dogs. Try Reef Sanctuary or living reefs for more numbered opinions.

It should be fine for your tank. I would replace the stock bulbs that come with it with ones from ATI, UVL, Geisemann, KZ and GE. They are the top brands and have the best and most efficient bulbs.

Many people on this forum will not give an answer if they do not have any experience with your question. Patience is a virtue and a must in this hobby.

as an experienced newbie, I can say that I initially felt like I was getting no attention, however the members here are more than willing to provide their knowledge when they can:)

I personally have researched that lighting fixture many times myself so I'm curious about its performance as well.

    Let's keep it all friendly!

I started here as a newbie.. I looked into a reef tank and these people walked me through step by step. Just ask the right questions and they will be answered eventually. Not everyone knows the subjects but eventually someone will bite..

as far as Aquatic Life fixtures are concerned, they are still a new company and they have not had the time to be personally tested by many. I will tell you that I have had two fixtures for two different tanks and I have loved them. There are a few things that set these apart being the timer, individual reflectors, fans, and 1 power cord.

I love mine, and I would recommend it to anyone, seriously anyone. If you have doubts, call up the number on their website and the nice people on the other end will talk you through any problem you may have. Actually, I have a good story about their customer service... I bought my first fixture from them on marinedepot dot com and two of the bulbs came broken in my package. Well I called marine depot and they tried to refer me to UPS which I feel is a little shady. Well I went ahead and called aquatic life and they sent me 4 bulbs and shipped all free of charge without asking any identifying information. They are a good and upcoming company and I would give them my support if I were you. You wont be let down.

Hope it helps and Im glad to have you aboard. Also if you have any more questions you would like to ask, please feel free and you will see that this is one of the nicest most helpful reef sites on the net..

    take care

    charles
