I finally installed my Aquaticlife Protein Skimmer 115 and it seems that the collection cup is quickly being filled up foam -> water. Is this normally part of the break in cycle? I thought the collection cup usually filled up in 3 days or so?

i have had this skimmer on my nano; its normal, just adjust the valve to the lowest output, it may take a day or two; for me it filled up weekly
personally i don't like this skimmer
it gets the job done but it constantly released micro bubbles in my tank.
i ended up just not using a skimmer

Any idea how to adjust to the lowest output on the knob? Every time I move the water knob, I feel the output is the same

well for me i took the thing apart, by this i mean i took of the piece that holds the thing together; in other words the plastic brackets with the suction cups; i can't explain clearly but when it is apart you can see how the valve works. there might be better ways,,,,

Actually I found a solution. All I had to do is raise the skimmer up so that the 2 of the water flow lines were above the water surface. It's skimming perfectly now! Thanks though

So after a night of skimming, the bubbles only go up to 1/4 of the collection cup. I tried turning the knob in order to increase the bubble height, but it only goes up to 3/4 maximum height of the collection cup. Is there a way to increase the height so it actually skim properly instead of being stuck in the collection cup's column? This is my first protein skimmer :(
