The fans seem loud is this normal?

Also do you have to use the legs just look ugly to me lol

I have a Chinese brand 6 lamp fixture and I agree I did not like the look of it on the legs over my reef

it only covers 70 % of my tank surface ( I would not want to fully cover my tank with it)
and as such I just neglected to use the legs and have it resting on the plastic bracing - it overlaps by about 1 inch either side so no danger of it falling in

acclimitisation - what did you have before? as if you have more tubes or are changing to T5s from PC etc - you will want to cut down on lighting time to give the corals a chance to acclimatise

Does your light get too hot? That is what I was worried about but it has 2 fans on it so I wouldn't think it would.

Tank is in the living room and because of the legs it blinds you when you sit on the couch it sucks!
