I just switched to Aquavitro Salinity and I must say I'm extremely impressed so far. My corals love it when I do a water change, I can see it in their polyp extension. Anyways, switching salt has brought up a couple questions...

Is it ok to add a dechlorinator, specifically Prime, AFTER you've already mixed the salt in?

Also, is Prime even necessary with Salinity salt or does it already contain a dechlorinator?

What type of h2o are you using? RO/DI, RO, Distilled all do not need dechlorinator. The only one that normally needs it is tap water. Even then, most brands already include some sort of dechlorinator. May I suggest moving this to the Seachem board? They would be able to help you much better than most here.

I have an RO/DI unit but my source water contains a LOT of chloramines and I don't trust that my DI unit is as thorough as it could be. I've heard its safer to use Prime, I just want to make sure its ok to use it after mixing the salt in. Or if its even necessary at all using Salinity salt.

About moving to the Seachem board....I'm thinking they might not want to tell me I don't have to be using some of their product :)
